ALL APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Coaches must agree with and abide by the rules of the Ferndale Youth Sports Code of Conduct and all additional league Code of Conducts.
- Applicant will read all FYS By-Laws and Handbooks as well as any other documents that may be presented
from different leagues. - The applicant is not listed on the Washington Public Sex Offender Registry (Or any State Registry).
- The applicant must not have been terminated from a job or position of influence because of inappropriate
treatment of children. This would include any type of job that involves interaction with children (i. e. Daycare
provider, teacher, gym instructor, Sunday school teacher, Coaching, Scout leader, or as a volunteer). - The applicant must not have been convicted of a violent crime.
- The applicant must have moderate knowledge of the sport applying to coach, proper techniques, and
fundamentals. They must be willing to get training for this position (i. e. coaching camps, books, and/or
videos) and obtain any certifications required by FYS and additional leagues. - Agree to be an active participant in Ferndale Youth Sports Functions, board meeting and fundraising events
